High Card New Teaser Visual Confirms 2nd Season

The 2nd season of the original action-adventure anime has been confirmed at the High Card AJ Special Stage with a new teaser visual. The 1st season of High Card started to premiere on 9th January and has a total of 12 episodes.

TMS Entertainment, Kadokawa, and Sammy started a multimedia project titled High Card which was announced back in June 2021. The project is a total sum of Drama CDs, manga, and a light novel. The project’s development also involves Kakegurui authors Homura Kawamoto and Hikaru Muno, who wrote the light novels Kakegurui Trip and Kakegurui Joker.

Plot

Crunchyroll explains the plot as:

After discovering that his orphanage was on the brink of closing due to financial stress, Finn, who was living freely on the streets, set out for a casino with the aim of making a fortune. However, nothing could have prepared Finn for the nightmare that was awaiting him. Once there, Finn encountered a car chase and bloody shootout caused by a manʼs “lucky” card.
